The International Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF Turkey) is recognizing journalists who have covered Turkish tourism through their news and photographs at the ATF Tourism Media Awards 2026. Applications for the awards program, which includes two categories: ’Tourism News of the Year“ and ”Tourism Photograph of the Year,“ opened on September 1, 2026.
The ATF Tourism Media Awards, which aim to support journalists who contribute to Turkish tourism with high-quality journalism and photography and to increase the visibility of their work, are free to enter. Applications will continue until October 11, 2026 at 23:00.
Two award categories
Which one will you apply for? The news and photography categories are separate; you can apply for either if you wish.
Tourism News of the Year
Journalistic works on tourism are evaluated in different types of publications.
Interview and Conversation
Different broadcasting types such as television, video, and podcasts.
Journalists who can document that they have worked for a media organization within the last two years or who are members of a relevant professional organization are eligible to apply to the program.
Tourism Photo of the Year
Photographs depicting tourism from various perspectives are being evaluated within different themes.
Hospitality and the Human Factor in Tourism
Culture, Heritage and Gastronomy
Various themes, primarily Sustainable Tourism and Nature.
Previously published photographs can be submitted. However, works that have won awards in other photography competitions will not be accepted into the program.
The reward: the right scene.
Your work is being presented to those who manage tourism. ATF Türkiye is bringing together decision-makers from the sector in Antalya for three days.
Plaque and certificate of honor
The winners receive plaques and certificates of honor signed by ATF Türkiye at the award ceremony.
ATF brings together the industry in Türkiye.
The winning entries will be presented to industry professionals at ATF Türkiye, which brings together tour operators, travel agencies, investors, tourism managers, and destination representatives.
GM Tourism and Management Magazine
The award-winning works and interviews with the winning journalists are published in GM Tourism and Management Magazine.
Award ceremony
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held as part of ATF Türkiye on October 27, 2026. Transportation and accommodation support will be provided to winners attending the ceremony from outside Antalya.
Jury Special Award. Regardless of the rankings, the award may be given to a work that stands out for its subject matter, approach, or impact. The award may be given to a work in either the Tourism News of the Year or Tourism Photograph of the Year categories.

Is there an application fee?
No. Participation in the ATF Tourism Media Awards is completely free.
Do I need to become a member?
No. You don't need a membership or password to apply. You can upload your photo or add a link to your news story by entering your personal and artwork information and completing your application.
I don't have a press pass, can I still attend?
Yes. You can apply if you can document that you have worked for a media organization within the last two years, or if you are a member of a relevant professional organization.
Can I apply to both programs?
Yes. The Tourism News of the Year and Tourism Photo of the Year categories are run separately; you can apply to both.
My photo has been published before, will that be a problem?
No. You can submit previously published photographs. However, works that have won awards in other photography competitions will not be accepted.
Does my work remain mine?
